The restaurant was full of friendly people! We’re Asian travelers visiting the nearby cave and Meramec River. One of the cave staff recommended this place, and we’re so glad they did. The pizza, chicken strips, and BBQ were especially delicious. We’ll definitely come back! The food was amazing, and the whole experience left us feeling great.

20241007 Wow! Their fried chicken and fried liver are amazing. Light battered and crispy. The chicken was so juicy! One of my girls loved both the fried chicken and fried liver. The lady working there was so nice! Became my dogs were in the car, I asked if she would bring my food out to the car when it is ready, and she did! So sweet!

Stopped by this restaurant on our way back from Onondaga Cave—great location right off I-44/Old Route 66. The ambiance was really nice and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We ordered a lot of food—my friends loved the chicken livers and wings. I’m vegetarian, so I had a cheese pizza with toppings, which was delicious. We also had fun playing games and trying the duck vending machine—it always gives a prize, which I loved! Overall, a great place. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in the area!

Stopped for dinner after spending the day at Onondaga, and it was a great meal! Tried the ravioli for a starter, had the specials with fresh, hot coffee, and rounded it out with a piece of cheesecake!

We were in town for the night visiting Meremac Caverns. Ordered dinner and could not have been more happy. Their fried chicken is fantastic. Oh and my wife said to give praise for the Philly Cheesesteak also. Thank you Skippy's !!

The burgers were delicious, so were the homemade chips. I enjoyed the Wisconsin cheese curds, the texture and flavor was perfect! Homemade cherry pie was really good! Our waitress was very friendly and made us laugh. I was only passing through but if I ever come back to this area I'll definitely stop by again.

Great experience! Clean/small town atmosphere with a super sweet staff. Pizza was great and the Philly was the best I’ve ever had! Fresh/burning hot with perfectly melty cheese and so flavorful! Homemade chips were awesome too. As you can see in the picture, my whole family was stealing off my plate Lol Would definitely go back if passing through the town again.

May 2025: First time to visit Skippy's Route 66 Restaurant. Clean, neat, and appeared family friendly. We had the cheeseburgers and fries with appetizers of deep-fried zucchini and mushrooms. Try the homemade potato chips. They were crisp and had a great flavor. The food was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We plan to stop by again when we are back in that neck of the woods.
